I met Erin in 2001 while working in the marketing department at Killington Ski Resort in Vermont. In 2002 we moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado for the summer and decided it was too beautiful a place to leave. In 2004 I proposed to Erin on the bridge below Fish Creek Falls and we were married in June 2005. In December 2007 after five and a half years in Steamboat Springs we moved to Broomfield, Colorado an area about ten miles outside of Boulder. Our first child, Courtney June Windt, was born on April 24, 2008 at the Exempla Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, CO.
